Worth The Effort?
In the New Year’s assessment pieces, I encouraged you to look over your affiliate website marketing strategies and weed out what isn’t working. But first, a word of caution—let’s make sure those strategies are really worth trashing.
Putting Affiliate Website Marketing Strategies To The Test
You know that it is important to utilize as many reasonable internet marketing strategies for your affiliate website as possible. So any downsizing in your wealth creation affiliate marketing plan must be done with care.
Before you give up on a marketing strategy for your affiliate program, put it to the test.
Remember that the bigger your traffic volume, the better your potential to convert visitors into buyers. So even a small traffic-producer might be worth keeping; what you have to determine is whether the effort you are putting in is worth the return in terms of outreach and affiliate website traffic. Look at the many reasons that an affiliate program marketing technique might not be producing results, and ask yourself some honest questions:
• Is there something more that you should be doing?
• Can you put in more time or effort and improve the quality and/or quantity you are putting out?
• Did you devote enough time to marketing your affiliate site?
• Did you devote enough time to the specific project?
• Should you change your platform (a more visible blog network, better article directory)?
• Is your content too “run-of-the-mill”?
• Can you keep the project but tweak your angle to target your audience better?
• Did you target your audience?
• Did you give the project enough time—meaning, has the project been implemented long enough to return results? Weeks and months can go by before you really see a traffic spike, so don’t quit on a marketing strategy too early.
It may sound like I’m telling you not to give up on any type of marketing, but that isn’t the case. If you think you can net better results by scrapping a floundering project and putting your time and resources into other, more promising affiliate marketing strategies, try that route. This is about efficiency, traffic and conversion; I only want to get you thinking and making the best use of the time and effort you are putting into your wealth creation affiliate website marketing.
