Finding Credibility As A Wealth Creation Affiliate

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

Establishing Credibility can really help your websiteWe’ve talked about establishing credibility on your wealth creation affiliate website. This is an important subject, because if you cannot show yourself as credible, trustworthy, and reliable, who is going to want to invest in you and your affiliate program? How would throwing their money into a questionable wealth creation program benefit them financially?

It wouldn’t. That is exactly why establishing credibility with affiliate website visitors is paramount to success with our (any) wealth creation affiliate program.

Where Is Your Credibility?

Before when we talked about establishing affiliate site credibility, we talked about showing some personality and developing a relationship, a good rapport, with the people using your affiliate website. Now let’s go a step further.

Yes affiliate website visitors want to know that there is a real person behind the product, but they also want to know that that person is one who knows about the wealth creation products and about the problems facing them (your visitors); they also want to know about the success of your wealth creation system. In one package, wealth creation affiliate website visitors want a professional, knowledgeable, successful resource.

Now, if you are just starting out in our wealth creation programs and still getting to know our wealth creation affiliate program, you might feel like you are at a loss for credibility. And if you don’t (think you) have it, how can you tell your customers you do?

You have a few options.

• Learn; as you learn you grow. The more time you spend using and learning about our wealth creation products, the more you will learn, the stronger your credibility.

• Be resourceful; if you don’t have the answers, one of us will. Research, use our tools, and get the answers you need to show your credibility and knowledge.

• Borrow; all the proof of wealth creation success does not need to be your own. Borrow credibility by showing the success of others—me, Jamie McIntyre, other affiliates, our/your clients, other experts in our field (Kiyosaki, Wattles, Hill, so many others…).

Borrowing credibility is important. It’s not a cop-out. To really prove your products, you have to borrow credibility from others because the one thing people want to see before they invest their money is that this is a successful wealth creation product, and the way that is done is by showing how others—many others—have been successful.

It’s important to find credibility, but it’s also important to feel confident in doing so. You’ve taken the steps to succeed at wealth creation, you’ve joined this affiliate program, and that in itself gives you credibility because there is no way you could have gotten there without knowing something about wealth creation and the power of these products. So you see, every one of you has credibility as a wealth creation affiliate—now all you have to do is tell about it!

Who Is Your Target Audience?

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Ever come to a site to buy into a program or product and get the feeling it just wasn’t a site for you? Did you feel the site owners were out of touch? That they didn’t understand who you were, what you needed, or what you needed them to do for you?

Did that make you want to do business with that site? Invest your hard-earned cash with that site? Boost the sales of a website that really didn’t have your interests in mind at all?

Obviously, you were on a site that was either not targeting you as their audience, or was not doing it well. And no doubt that made all the difference in your decision to buy or to leave.

Defining Your Target Audience

Knowing your target audience is critical to the success of your wealth creation affiliate program. If you don’t know your target audience, you can’t offer the solutions to their problems, and you can’t establish yourself as a meaningful resource for their wealth creation goals. You can’t speak the language your visitors need to hear!

One of the first things you need to do before embarking on selling wealth creation products through your affiliate program is to decide who you are talking to—decide what your target audience will be.

Put some thought into who you want to market your wealth creation affiliate products to—who do you want to help? Answer these questions to establish who your wealth creation affiliate website target audience is:

• How old is your audience?

• What are their interests?

• What do they value?

• What is their motivation for coming to your affiliate website and buying your wealth creation products?

• What do these people need?

• What do these people want?

• What level of education might they have had?

• What working background/class might they come from?

• What really strikes a chord with this group (what pushes their buttons)?

Your target audience can be narrowly defined or broad-based; that is up to you. Fortunately, wealth creation lends itself to a wide consumer base, so you can target a larger audience than other businesses can. Reach as many clients as you can, but always remember that there is no way to please everybody at once, and an effort to do so will be wasted.

Focus on those you want to help most, those you understand and can identify with, and make that the target audience you strive to reach. Always keep this group in mind in everything you write and do, and you will find great success in your niche of the wealth creation market.

Converting Sales Copy—How Long Is Too Long?

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

An internet sales copy doesn't need to be shortIt’s often said that internet sales copy needs to be short, sweet, and to the point. For many things in the internet world, this rule applies, but it does not always hold true in the case of converting internet sales copy.

Debunking The Short Sales-Copy Myth

Many internet marketers think that the same rules apply to all copywriting on the internet, across the board. They think that if articles should be short and pointed, so, too should product sales copy. But consumer response shows the opposite. They want information quickly, but they want to know as much about a product, service, and/or company as they can before they trust the product enough to buy. This is especially true when you are dealing with a complex product such as wealth creation products. (*Understanding here that the products offered by our wealth creation affiliate program are not complex, but the issue of wealth creation is, and there is a lot people need to know before they will invest in such an important product.)

Sales copy should be short for some products, but not for all. If you are selling the latest in-demand toy, there’s not a lot of need for explanation. But if you are selling a life-changing investment program, people really want to know what they are buying and why they should buy it. They want to see that you are selling a wealth creation product that you are knowledgeable about, that they will be able to manage, and that they will see results with.

Striking A Balance For Customers

It’s not hard to see why the assumption is that all internet sales copy should be brief. Visitors are busy and have short attention spans. They want the bottom line—except when they need to really research a product so that they can gain the trust in it that they need in order to feel safe in their decision to purchase.

Nevertheless, you will have visitors that are easier to convince than others. It’s easy to strike a balance for these clients by offering them a few ‘outs’ throughout your sales copy. As you talk, periodically pause and direct readers to the ordering page for your affiliate website program. This lets those who want to know more keep reading, and those who just want the goods can click a link and move on with life. Of course, for everybody, end with the ‘ask’ for the order.

Don’t be afraid to go a little longer with your affiliate website sales copy than you otherwise might. Take the opportunity to engage and educate your readers, prove your credibility, highlight your program, and repeatedly ask for the order!

Making Time For Affiliate Program Success

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Success of your affiliate program depends on time managementOne of the most important organizational skills you can develop for the success of your affiliate program is time management. In fact, like the four key skills to success we talked about before, time management is a skill that will serve you well across all life endeavors and wealth creation efforts.

Making Time For Affiliate Program Success

You’ve had the foresight to invest in this great affiliate program, so make the most of it! Develop the skills and life practices that will boost your wealth creation affiliate success higher and higher.

It is true that your wealth creation affiliate website is designed to bring you passive income with limited effort, but it is also true that success with our affiliate website will be proportional to your effort; in other words, the more effort you put in, the bigger your financial rewards will be.

By and large effort is little more than making the time to do something. If you make the time to put any work into your affiliate website and the marketing of your affiliate program, you will enjoy a respectable return on your investment—one that will grow with every added effort. To do this, you have to make your wealth creation affiliate program a priority.

To start, schedule time into your workdays that is devoted to working on your affiliate program in some way; a daily time allotment is best, but even two or three days a week will make a huge difference.

Then, figure out what it is you need to do

• Using your short and long term goals for the year, divide goals into projects

• Prioritize your project list

Take your list in reverse and break down projects into manageable pieces.

• Set a monthly project goal

• Break that goal down into weekly tasks

• Break weekly tasks down into manageable daily “to-do’s”

Do this each month for the next year and not only will you have made great strides with your wealth creation affiliate website, but you will also have developed a very good working skill that will serve you well in all wealth creation efforts!

But don’t forget another important part of this—reward yourself! You’ve worked hard, and you deserve to appreciate a small interim return on your effort. (Incidentally, it often helps to set your reward ahead of time as an incentive for staying on task.)
